Our
origin
TGLV
In 1946, Amando García Hinojosa started working as an employee for the
cotton companies of that time: Gulf Cotton Co. and Garza Cotton Co., (Algodonera
del Golfo and Algodonera Garza).
In 1953, Mr. García, then manager of Popular Cotton Co. (Algodonera la
Popular), envisioning the future of freight industry, decided to establish
a small company with two 7-ton trucks, covering routes in the Gulf of
Mexico and the Mexican Pacific, carrying cotton, fruit, grains and construction
materials.
On
May 24, 1973, with eight 18-wheel trucks, Empresa de Servicio Público
Federal de Transporte de Carga General Lauro Villar (TGLV) was established.
Since then, it has grown to include thirty-three 18-wheel trucks.
Currently,
Mr. Gonzalo García Cantú manages TGLV. As a second-generation representative,
he still maintains the original objective of TGLV: To serve our
clients and to encourage national and international commercial exchange.
We look forward to becoming your
transportation partners!
